This package provides a document viewer for Wikidot: upload and then view documents in your wikis.
Instructions
To install this package in your site, create/edit these pages with the following content:
This page | Contains this line |
---|---|
Any Page | [[include :csi:include:doc-viewer | site=your-site-name | page=page-with-file | file=file-name.doc | width=900 | height=2000]] |
Change variables to match your site:
site = The name of your wiki. eg example.wikidot.com, site=example
page = The page name where the file is stored. eg example.wikidot.com/examplepage, page=examplepage
file = The name of your file (case-sensitive).
The width and the height are in pixels and it is advised that you play around with these until the dimensions are suitable for your site/document.
The document name should NOT contain any spaces. Instead, use a hyphen. eg example-document.doc
This uses the Google Document Viewer and so will accept all types of document that the viewer does.
Example
[[include :csi:include:doc-viewer
|site=csi
|page=package:19
|file=Example-Document.doc
|width=100%
|height=200px
]]
Include files
doc-viewer | By (user deleted) | 21 Dec 2009 12:01 |
Could you provide an example or a link to an example of this in action?
Portfolio
Just created a quick Word 97 document and attached it.
Document Viewer doesn't seem to like spaces (written as %20) in the filename.

Thanks for putting the example in and no it will not like spaces because it is inserting it into a link. That's what I reckon, anyway.
Hmmm, I'll say this in the notes.
To install this package in your site, create/edit these pages with the following content:
This page Contains this line
Please explain "This page Contains this line"
Thanks in advance.
If it said 'Contains this text on a single line' would it be clearer?

This was the default template I was required to fill out when posting this CSI. It is simply the line you must enter into your site to make this CSI work.
